ArmidaWare™ security products combine the convenience of wireless networking and the quality of traditional cabled CCTV video, with a lower price point than traditional systems of either type.
More Capable & Less Expensive - The ArmidaWare Solution
Based on open standards, the ArmidaWare product suite uses industry-leading 802.11a/b/g, 900 MHz, and 4.9 GHz wireless technology, enhanced with Videlity software. Videlity-enabled systems constantly monitor the network and adapt to changing conditions to ensure quality video. These Videlity Operating Environment (VOE) networks record and transmit usable video even when network radio signals sustain packet losses of up to 25%.
ArmidaWare’s unifying surveillance infrastructure expands the capabilities of current security systems, without multiple additional hardware modules and without running cable. ArmidaWare integrates seamlessly with existing discrete security-related devices, such as cameras, access control hardware, and alarm systems – regardless of manufacturer. And, Armida Technologies’ software-centric solution maintains the majority of functionality in its Videlity software, providing a foundation for intelligent video systems that are more capable, less expensive, and easier to expand than hardware-based alternatives.
Applications
The ArmidaWare wireless solution processes video from multiple analog or digital camera sources in real time, and delivers it across the network without the dropped frames, “pixelation,” or jerkiness so commonly found in ordinary wireless video networks.
The ArmidaWare SecurityController
The SecurityController combines the functions of a multi-port video server, serial controller, 802.11a/b/g wireless access point and Ethernet switch – all in one chassis. The SecurityController supports any combination of analog, digital, and wireless cameras, as well as other cabled and wireless system components such as access control and alarm panels. The SecurityController uses industry standard wireless technology to transmit data to a PC running the ArmidaWare Network Video Recorder (NVR) software.
The ArmidaWare Network Video Recorder (NVR) software
The network video recorder (NVR) software handles wireless communication with all components of the security system, and records, manages, and stores video. Security personnel can monitor and control the surveillance system directly from their PC. The software also makes video streams available over the Internet, and enables authorized personnel to access and control the system from any location.
Coming in 2008 - The ArmidaWare CameraController
The CameraController supports remote IP cameras in Armida's Videlity Operating Environment (VOE). The CameraController can be used in addition to or as an alternative to the SecurityController as it provides transmission of quality wireless video for up to 4 cameras. CameraControllers equip analog, digital, or wireless cameras with Armida’s Videlity technology to ensure quality video. It can function as an independent, wireless controller that transmits video from remote cameras directly to the designated PC. The CameraController increases system flexibility, extends the usefulness of existing cameras, and offers substantial cost savings over the alternatives of buying many system components and trenching for cable in new installations.
Videlity® Technology
Armida’s Videlity technology, a network optimization technology that enhances and ensures wireless video quality, powers all ArmidaWare components. The ArmidaWare product suite uses industry-standard MPEG-4 compression algorithms for video data and delivers dynamic video streaming rates up to 30 fps, dependent on camera capabilities. Once the images are transmitted, the video data will be recorded in MPEG-4 format, where it can be viewed and managed in the ArmidaWare NVR software or with other viewing software.
